How long can a LinkedIn connection note be?
Up to 300 characters on Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter, and 200 on a free account. The checker counts the note once each placeholder is filled in, because that is what LinkedIn receives.
Why single braces?
Dewx fills {first_name}, {last_name}, {full_name}, {company} and {title}. Some tools fill only the inner pair of double braces and send the outer pair as text, so the person sees a bracket. Other tools use other names; check theirs.
Do I need a note at all?
No. An invitation without a note is fine, and the checker says so.
