What makes Portal different from other unified inboxes?

Portal is contact-centric, not conversation-centric. Instead of showing separate conversations per platform, Portal shows ALL conversations with a person across ALL platforms in one chronological thread. You see the full picture of your relationship with each contact.

Can I reply to messages directly from Portal?

Yes! Use the platform selector at the bottom to choose which channel to reply through. Portal remembers your last used platform per contact. Your replies are sent through the original platform. Recipients see them as normal messages.

How does the CRM sidebar work?

The right panel shows live CRM context for the selected contact: their profile details, associated deals (with stage, value, and close date), pending tasks, internal notes, and a complete activity timeline. You can add notes, create tasks, and view deals without leaving the conversation.

What are Hub Categories?

Portal has three modes: GTM (Sales) shows deals and pipeline context, CX (Support) shows tickets and support history, and Ops (Operations) shows projects and team tasks. The right sidebar adapts based on your selected mode.

Does Portal update in real-time?

Yes, Portal uses WebSocket connections for live updates. You see new messages instantly, typing indicators when someone is writing, and message status updates (sent, delivered, read) in real-time.

Is my data secure with Portal?

Yes, Portal uses enterprise-grade encryption for all data. We never store your login credentials. We use secure OAuth connections where available. Your messages are encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).

Can multiple team members use Portal?

Absolutely. Portal supports team collaboration with shared inboxes, conversation assignments, and internal notes. You can hand off conversations to team members without losing context. Role-based access control ensures team members only see what they need.
